Jesus is the Son of God, the Savior of
the world, and the way to God.
“He is the image of the invisible God” (Colossians 1:15), and “the Word became flesh and dwelt among us” (John 1:14).
Because of our sin, we were separated from God, but Jesus came to reconcile us to Him. “God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us” (Romans 5:8). He willingly gave His life on the cross for our sins, “that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life” (John 3:16).
Jesus did not remain in the grave. He rose again, conquering sin and death, and He offers new life to all who believe in Him. “If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved” (Romans 10:9).
Through faith in Christ, we are forgiven, made new, and brought into relationship with God. He meets you where you are, no matter your past or what you may think separates you from him. His love for us and His grace is why we are able to have eternal life. “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation” (2 Corinthians 5:17).
Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me” (John 14:6).
To believe in Jesus is to trust in who He is, what He has done, and the promise of salvation He gives to those who put their faith in Him.
Following Jesus begins with surrendering your heart to Him and choosing to walk with Him each day.
Jesus says, “If you love Me, keep My commandments” (John 14:15). We follow Him by trusting His Word, turning away from sin, and allowing His Spirit to transform the way we live. Spend time with God through prayer and reading the Bible (the living word of God). As we seek Him, we come to know His heart. “Draw near to God and He will draw near to you” (James 4:8). Jesus invites us to remain close to Him: “Abide in Me, and I in you” (John 15:4). As you grow, let your life begin to reflect His love: “walk in love” (Ephesians 5:2), forgive others, serve selflessly, love those around you, and seek to become more like Christ. We are not saved by being perfect; we grow by His grace as we continually surrender ourselves to Him. “Whoever follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life” (John 8:12).
Following Jesus is a lifelong journey of pursuing a relationship with Him, becoming more like Him, and learning to trust Him with every part of your life.
